What’s New in Windows 10 KB5055612?

The KB5055612 update focuses on quality improvements and allows users to test fixes before the May 2025 security update. It includes WSL GPU fixes, security enhancements, and system stability improvements.

With today’s update, Microsoft addressed a case-sensitive check in Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2) that could prevent GPU paravirtualization support from functioning correctly.

Updated the Windows Kernel Vulnerable Driver Blocklist (DriverSiPolicy.p7b) to include additional drivers known to be exploited in Bring Your Own Vulnerable Driver (BYOVD) attacks.

It also fixed an issue where the Windows Event Viewer displayed error Event 7023 related to the SgrmBroker.exe service, seen after updates installed from January 14, 2025, or later.

Microsoft noted one known issue: Devices running Citrix Session Recording Agent (SRA) version 2411, released in December 2024, may encounter issues completing the installation of the January 2025 Windows security update.
