Samsung Galaxy S21, s21+, ultra 5G Design
- S20: 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm, 172g
- S21+: 161.55 x 75.6 x 7.86mm, 202g
- S21 Ultra : 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm, 228g
- IP68 waterproofing
The Galaxy S21 series couple of big change in perspective of its design the most noticeable thing is that shift from curved edges to the display on previous Galaxy S models, to a flat display (unlike the Ultra which retains the curves to the edges), giving a slightly different look to the front of this phone. While at the back of the camera unit one can easily notice that the camera housing is now integrated with the frame, so it’s more of a feature on the back, these are some major changes in the design unit otherwise much of the design sticks to the familiar from previous Galaxy S series, with waterproofing to protect the devices to an IP68 level. There’s no 3.5mm headphone socket or jack, but the stereo speakers remain which delivers the sound good enough.
Samsung Galaxy S21, s21+, ultra 5G Display
- S21: 6.2in, FHD+
- S21+: 6.7in, FHD+
- S21 Ultra: Quad HD+, HDR10+ support
- Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display
Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+ have shifted in resolution with both getting a Full HD+ resolution. That’s also a change of direction of Samsung, which previously put a Quad HD+ display in all its flagship devices, but in the case of Samsung Galaxy S21 ULTRA Samsung gives Quad HD+, HDR10+ supported display which takes the ULTRA to a different level. While Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+ has support adaptive refresh rates, with a range of 48-120Hz and Samsung Galaxy S21 ULTRA has an adaptive refresh rate with a range of 10-120Hz. This type of adaptive technique helps the smartphone to consume less power.
Samsung has given the protection of Corning Gorilla glass VICTUS Technology for the safeguarding the accidental drop purpose. This all makes the screen to look good feel good as well as much premium in comparison to other smartphones.

The Samsung S21 ULTRA does come with a 108-megapixel camera that captures every detail, you can pinch in and reveal even more shots within. This camera quality expresses rich color data for true-to-life details and hues. But the changes we have viewed after the launch is there is much more software upgradation as in Samsung S21 series you can take 8K(24fps) Video which is the highest video resolution available in a smartphone — that’s four times as many pixels as 4K. And with 8K Video Snap, you can pull epic high-resolution photos straight from 8K Video. So the consumer don’t have to choose between shooting video or stills.
Samsung Galaxy S21, s21+, ultra 5G Battery capacity
- S21: 4000mAh battery
- S21 Plus: 4800mAh battery
- S21 Ultra: 5000mAh, 45W charging
One of the important factors of any smartphone is the battery as the battery capacity plays a vital role on smartphone performance. In terms of battery capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S21 has a 4000mAh battery which the company says it is good enough for an entire day While we see a bump in S21 Plus with +800mAh i.e 4800mAh Battery capacity. But in the case of ultra, you will get true one-day battery life as it’s 5000mAh battery capacity. As on Samsung says that the software optimization is so good that the device will take less Battery for any task to perform. But we had already seen that Samsung has given up to 7000mAh capacity in other smartphones so this thing will be quite noticeable.
Samsung Galaxy S21, s21+, ultra 5G Impression
The first impression of the Galaxy S21 series is that it comes with a unique design and with much more upgradation also some of the most important software optimizations such as 8k video recording on the same megapixel camera of s20 and much more (unlike the Ultra version because it upgrade it’s camera too). Also, the connectivity has improved with the support of WiFi 6E and the improvement in the 5G. The processor is also very much improved.
Note: Samsung has opened pre-orders, If you’re planning to pick up the S21, the launch deals are probably the best chance you’ll have until the phone gets its inevitable mid-life price cut.
